The Homeschool Village is having a gardening link up to help encourage gardening with children. I decided to participate since we are doing that already 🙂 They asked to share pictures of where we will be gardening and this first one is of wingnut showing where we are starting our seeds 🙂

This is my large bed that I will be turning into narrower rows here soon.

This is my only raised bed at the moment.

This is my strawberry bed to the right under the straw and rabbit manure. Then there are are two 4 foot wide rows going out to the left but you can only see one of them in this picture.

Here is a picture of my cabbage starting to sprout!

We will be planting a whole lot of stuff this year. On the list is; carrots, cabbage, onions, potatoes, garlic, beets, radishes, zucchini, winter squash, two kinds of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans, ground cherries, and I think there are more I just can’t think of them now. This is the garlic that I planted last fall.

I planted parsnips last fall as well but did not plant them early enough so they were tiny! I decided to leave some in the ground and collect their seeds this year.

I plan on using Homeschool Creations preschool pack with wingnut and mainly just talking to him about the plants while working in the garden.

Wingnut loves helping me out in the garden, I let him pull weeds and help with the harvesting. He Loves to get out his little shovel and help me dig! Worm finding is a favorite pastime of his, of course. I plan on having him sprinkle some wildflower seeds by the back fence soon and he is excited about that.
