If you are interested in when I do things in my garden, I added a garden tab to the top of my site :)
It seemed I got overwhelmed and burned out from all the weekly posts I tied myself to, you know the open ended art on Mondays, the toddler Tuesdays and the outside pictures of Friday. I have come to the decision that I am not going to do any sort of daily theme because I feel like I plan my whole week just so I can make posts on my blog. No worries, I will still be writing about those things but just when I feel like it. Anyhoo, I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and I will have a wingnut update tomorrow.
Yep, I succumbed. So here is a link to me and if you want to be my friend I would be happy :) LOL, that sounded like I was in grade school.
I got my categories and links back. It was a server issue. It seems that it got to full backing up spam and could not finish the script.
Next issue, comments. I recently realized that my website is not acting the way it should when you leave comments. If this has been going on for awhile I apologize. If you have problems leaving a comment feel free to just email me. zonnah @ hotmail . com. In the mean time I will try and figure out what is causing the problem.
I will be back to posting as soon as I get better. I have a doctors appointment today to see what is wrong. I hope it goes well.
Testing my twitter plugin.
Oh dear, I now have a twitter page! I blame my husband.
So, just recently I have started to get comments on my site. I am very thankful for that but it has left me confused in one area, responding to comments etiquette. So I have a question for everyone. Do I respond in my comments, or in an email? I would love to know everyones answer. Thanks in advance.
I must apologize for my site being down so much lately. It seams like when it rains it pours, right? It started out with a bad hard drive. Luckily, my husband was able to recover everything. But then we had a scare because there was a gig of stuff that he could not recover. At first he was not too worried because that is what backups are for. Well, awhile back one of our friends site, that we host, got hacked causing our backups to never complete all the way. They would stop at about 75%. Since my site starts with “Z” it was not getting backed up. Oh that got my heart a beating. But we realized my site was fine. The bulk of what was not recovered was stuff that was not important. But then the raid controller started to go bad. We then ordered new hard drives and switched from a hardware controller to a software one. When the hard drives arrived they did not work. Ended up that they needed a patch to work. But of coarse we did not find this out till after a few bad installs.
After all of that and hard work from my hubby, I am back. I am so excited. I’ve really missed being able to share my work with everyone. I have quite a few things to share. So, tonight when I have more time I will get my pictures in order and start sharing!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has come back to make sure I am still here.
My site will be up and down, slow and fast. Why? Hubby is working on the web server. The problems should be fixed soon.
A fellow blogger gave me this award but I really do not feel like I deserve it. I just recently started being active in my blogging after a long hiatus. I am also new to the whole quilting thing. I feel very honored to get it from robin (ty btw), who is an amazing quilter and is also working on a Dear Jane quilt. I am inspired by her because she has a son near the age of mine and still gets a lot done quilting wise. Quilting is my outlet, it makes me feel like my life is something other then taking care of my son and cleaning the house. So getting an award for just doing what makes me happy is the greatest thing ever. Now who to pass it on to? I am going to have to think about that for awhile. Can I pass it back to the one who gave it to me? :) I am relatively new to the blogging community and am not sure who to pass it to. Can it go to knitters? Lol.
Edit: I think I have decided who to give it to. It is going to two knitters and two quilters.
Mamieknits – Because she not only is a very talented crafty person, but an amazing mom. I always think if she can do it so can I.
Elliphantom Knits– A very talented knitter. She kept me inspired when I knitted.
Now for the quilters:
Shnoodle – Because not to many people could make a block a day for a whole year!
Twiddletails– I am sure she has gotten this already, but I really appreciate all her hard work in keeping That Quilt (aka Dear Jane) site going and doing all the work for us.
